Never will it fail to at least slightly
frazzle me when one of my nieces or nephews has an emergency. My heart strongly
went to my brother, sister-in-law and my ten year old nephew David last night.
Poor little David ended up with some major breathing problems up out of the
blue. Mind you this is a child who has always been overall very healthy on the
norm. So when he woke up the other morning asking his mother for help, because
he couldn’t breathe it definitely set alarm bells going. He was brought to the
hospital and spent last night in ICU. To make a long story short though, it
does seem to be that David has been diagnosed with having asthmatic issues.
Right now he’s still in the hospital. I do not normally do this, but I do ask please for prayers and thoughts still over my little nephew. He can’t be released to go home until after he can be off oxygen on his own. As they discovered (on my last update to the situation today anyways) that his levels are going down some while he sleeps. I did manage to get up to the hospital for a while last night to see him and smother his face with some Auntie kisses. I’m not going to lie; it was pretty heartbreaking seeing him in a hospital bed. I’m so proud of how brave he was being last night though. He’s such a strong little boy and I know he’ll be okay, but I’m just anxious for him to be released from being in the hospital. I know his parents and siblings are too!

Yes as David's Grandma I am a little bit of a basket case over our little David still. But I want to add to Jane's blog here too and thank you for all prayers for our little guy. Hugs, Deb
