Second Liebster Award!

I am in a bit of blogger shock as I have received the Liebster Award for a second time! This came my way just seven short days after I participated in the first one. This time around though it comes from Vickilicious over at The Greek Housewife blog! I am so truly touched and flattered that my blog has been receiving the attention it has. Thank you so much Vicki for this award and now for my official participation in this. To get started though, for those who don’t remember or know what a Liebster Award is from my previous entry (Liebster Award!), here’s a bit of information on it.

So… What is the Liebster Award?
The word Liebster is German and it literally means “dearest” or “favorite”. Other meanings include sweetest, kindest, nicest, beloved, lovely, kinda, pleasant, valued, cute, endearing and welcome. The award recognizes new and upcoming bloggers with less than 200 follwers (or friends) who deserve recognition and support for their contribution in the blogosphere. In order to accept this prestigious award, one must abide by the list of rules.

The Rules:
01)  Each person must list 11 things about themselves.
02)  Answer the 11 questions that the tagger has set for you PLUS you MUST create 11 questions of your own for the 11 people you will nominate with this award.
03)  Choose up to 11 bloggers linking them to your post.
04)  Go to their page and inform them of the nomination.
05)  Absolutely NO tags back. Remember to ONLY tag bloggers with less than 200 followers.

So here goes with my answers for round two of this fun award!

11 Random Facts About Me:
01 – My dream dog is a Giant Schnauzer.
02 – Jessica Alba is one of my favorite actresses.
03 – Robert Englund is my all-time favorite actor.
04 – Butterscotch is one of my favorite treats to enjoy.
05 – When watching movies I like to snack on popcorn and chocolate chips.
06 – I used to be a heavy autograph collector.
07 – I enjoy dancing even though I’m not good at it.
08 – I’ve only sang Karaoke publicly one night with friends to an empty bar.
09 – Out of all household chores laundry is my favorite.
10 – I want to go to college for web and graphic design.
11 – Though I don’t look it, I do enjoy working out.

Now onto the next step where I answer questions from Miss Vickilicious!

Why do you blog?
Originally I started up my blog to showcase my writing. Writing is such a big passion for me and I wanted a place to showcase the various articles, poems, short stories, reviews and so forth that I had written. It also was for a personal space for me to share tidbits of my life. As I’ve continued writing over the past year since I started I have shared a little about my own depression and anxiety issues as well. It’s really become for me, blogging because I feel like I can relate to others. I feel like while I do share some work here and tidbits of my personal life, I can also open up more about myself to reach out to others in my spot. To sort of give that relatable person and let people know they are not alone.

Which is your favorite post?
100 Proof of Kellie – It’s my review on country singer/songwriter Kellie Pickler’s latest release. I’m quite pleased with how it turned out.

Have you ever received negative comments and how did you handle it?
I can’t recall ever receiving a negative comment on my blog. Be it with the design or an entry. I have received some constructive criticisms, but I don’t consider that to be negative. LOL! I appreciate input.

If you were a movie character which one would you be?
Good question! Now while I’m not sure who I would more realistically be, I will admit to who I wouldn’t mind being. LOL! Okay, prepare to laugh because I wouldn’t mind being Carrie Bradshaw from the Sex & the City movies – well, permitting I can be her without certain bits of drama. LOL!

What is your favorite dessert?
That’s a hard question! LOL! It really depends on my mood; I like cheesecake, ice cream (even though I have a slight lactose allergy) and brownies! Mmmm…now I want something sweet! ;)

What is your worst personality trait?
Procrastination! I’m not even going to deny it that I have this problem more times then I really care to admit. LOL! It’s definitely something I work to change within myself.

‘Avengers’ or ‘Transformers’?
I’ll say Transformers as I’m more familiar with them.

If you could travel in time which chronological period and where in the world would you go?
Gosh that’s a really hard one! I’ll say the Victorian Era in England. I just think it would have been marvelous to see and experience first-hand.

What is your favorite book?
I have a number of books I love and could read over again! I will say for nostalgic purposes, Charlotte’s Web by E.B. White as I have fond childhood memories of my mom reading it to me. She did voices!

Which quote/saying do you live by?
You have two options in life. Sit in a corner feeling sorry for yourself or get up and do something about it.

If you weren’t answering these questions right now what would you be doing instead?
I would either be working on a blog post or editing pictures from my Mackinaw trip last month. LOL!

Phew! Now that those portions are already done it’s time to nominate once again! Since it’s a new round of this, I’m going to go for nominating blogs I didn’t the last time. So the blogs I nominate now are…

Now for the questions I would love these bloggers to answer on their post!

01: What is your favorite holiday and why?
02: Do you have a preference for background noise while you write?
03: How many languages do you speak?
04: What is your favorite song at the moment?
05: Do you live in the same town/city you were born?
06: How were you introduced to the blogging world?
07: What is your favorite time of day?
08: Do you prefer coffee or tea?
09: How do you feel about doing arts and crafts?
10: What is your favorite meal to prepare?
11: Do you enjoy writing beyond blogging?

I’ve dabbled in graphic and web design stuff on my own, but I definitely want to get an education in it and get myself to a more professional and advance level of it. :D
